Young Gymnasts Excel at Pinewood

Squad Awards Sponsored by Surrey Construction Company

“In gymnastics, you put all your hard work in, and at the end, you come out with exactly what you deserve,” says coach Natalie Reeve of Pinewood Gymnastics. This year, Pinewood’s competitive squad put hard work in everyday, and their well-deserved results are an astounding tribute to their incredible dedication.

This December, Pinewood coaches Kelly Smith and Natalie Reeve presented awards to these young athletes – some of the UK’s top gymnasts. The Pinewood Squad members excelled this season, and were commended for exceptional work ethic, stellar performance, and nationally recognized technique.

Jenna Arnot was given the Hardest Worker Award, the Top Scorer Award, the Renovision Gymnast of the Year Award, and was applauded for her performance as part of the England Squad. Isla Pitman received the strength award, Anna Browne the Range and Conditioning Award, Bethany Austin the Sock Knocker-Off award, and the Choreography award went to Siena Rutherford. The Gymnast’s Gymnast Award went to Bobbie Hardy, and Abigail English was given the Head Coach’s Award, competed with the Great Britain Squad, and finished 5th in Great Britain in her age group.

The Pink Diamond Awards went to Katie Carter and Paige Hewitt. Anna Browne, Sophie Prior, Sasha Poole, Bethany Austin, Abigail English, Georgia Pickford, Summa Hammond, and Bobbie Hardy were lauded for making the Performance Pathway Squad for British Gymnastics. Summa Hammond, Abigail English, and Georgia Pickford each represented the South Region Squad at a National Final, and Isla Pitman, Anna Browne, and Sophie Prior all competed as level four gymnasts at a National Final. Each of these achievements represents these young athletes’ hard work and dedication.

Pinewood Gymnastics offers classes for gymnasts of all ages and levels, from tots through teens, adults, and of course, their nationally recognized competitive squad. Pinewood classes give young people the opportunity to develop strength, stamina and coordination, while building perseverance and personal confidence.

Sponsored by Surrey-Based construction company, Renovision Limited, the Pinewood awards encourage Pinewoods young competitive athletes to continue to meet and surpass their goals.
